We had a great afternoon celebrating the fact that Keheley students and parents worked so hard to raise over $34,000 for our school! Thanks for all your efforts. Students got to celebrate with an assembly where our Noah got to help Silly String Mr. Smith and Nicholas got to throw a pie in Mrs. Huggins' face (another Kindergarten teacher). They even got to see Mrs. Johnson kiss a pig named Maple. All our Kindergarten students had a great time at the Farm yesterday! We started with a hayride. We were able to see a Border Collie herd sheep in a field and a giant pig. We saw cows and their calves. We went in the barn to see the chickens, a noisy rooster, ducks, turkeys, a pig named Phoebe, sheep and a 2 week old calf. We saw a demonstration of how Miss Rosie got milked and even got to feel the suction of the milkers that made it possible to get 8 gallons of milk in 20 minutes! We had fun at the pig races where Ross, Chandler, Monica and Rachel raced for their prize of chocolate milk and as you know got our very own pumpkin. We ended the day with a lovely lunch in the pavilion. All our Keheley students were well behaved and enjoyed the day. I hope your child has lots of stories to share about their experience! As we were learning about community helpers and people who keep us healthy, students got to explore some of the tools those workers use. They had a great time! |
