We are taking our class to the computer lab for the first time this Friday, Oct. 3rd at 8:05 am. If you would be willing and able, we would love your assistance in helping students practice their student ID number and password in order to get logged in. Our first goal is to teach them how to get logged in by themselves so we will practice logging in and out - a boring task but a true necessity to teach students how to independently maneuver on the computer. If you can come help, please meet us in the lobby and we will pick you up on the way to the computer lab. Please comment on this post if you are planning to volunteer.
We are scheduled to go to the library on Tuesday, Sept. 30th and Tuesday Oct. 7th. Please mark these on your calendar and have your child return their library book to get a great new story.
Here is information about our upcoming event. Please add it to your calendars. More information will be coming home in Daily Folders.
Keheley Veterans Run 2014
Date: November 8, 2014
Location: Keheley Elementary School
We want to encourage everyone in our community to join us in honoring our Veterans who served our country. Our t-shirts will have a Veterans theme. Let’s get everyone moving in this non-competitive event by walking, running, jogging, or strolling 1.5 miles. “No pets, bicycles, skateboards, or inline skates will be allowed.”
Parking is in front of Keheley Elementary School. Please do not park in the back of the school.
Bathroom facilities are in the school.
Refreshments are provided at the finish, which is located in the back of the school.
T-Shirt pick up will be at the back of the school.
The course is a .5 mile loop around the school. We will start/finish at the back of the school. We encourage everyone to try their BEST!
Picture Day is Wednesday, September 24th. If you would like to order pictures, please send in money tomorrow if you haven't. The contact number for GCI (the picture company) is 770-428-3717 if you have questions. Our assigned picture time is 9:45. I will do my best to make sure everyone looks amazing for pictures. These will be the pictures in the yearbook.
I hope everyone had a wonderful break! Students are telling me and writing stories about their fun adventures of travel and just getting some time off. I know the alarm clock was early this morning for everyone. We are remembering our procedures and routines and even changing a few. I am excited about this fall with cooler weather!
This will be the last week for nap. I will send resting towels home on Friday and you do not need to send them back after break. I am posting a new schedule that we will follow after break. We will follow the new recess time this week and still nap this week. Daily 5 and phonics will be a bit shorter just for this week.
Pictures are up! Our photo gallery is full of fun things we have been doing. Please take time to look. The most recent pictures are at the top.
Welcome to Kindergarten! Remember to check back often to see what our class is doing.
