Here is a link to watch the eagles. Out of 3 eggs, one eaglet has hatched and 2 are poking through.
We had a great time at Kennesaw Mountain High School watching Dr. Seuss is Loose and at the park! After the Straw Walk and a full day of going, some fell asleep on the bus.
As we near first grade, please practice tying shoes at home. Here is a video of an easy way to start.
We hope you heard over the weekend some of the fun experiences your children had on Art's Day. We got to play drums, watch a wood turner make a small baseball bat and a top. We also tasted some Indian food and colored masks.
We had fun on Thursday with St. Patrick's Day. We read a few stories, including Jamie O'Rourke and the Big Potato. We made leprechaun ears and found out the leprechaun visited our room while we were out. The kids were shocked and amazing at the mess and were great to help clean up! The leprechaun even left us a note.
Walking Wellness Month - March 1-31, 2016 - Let’s Move
March is Keheley’s Walking Wellness Month. Students, family, faculty, and the community will join together and focus on physical fitness. We want to help everyone create and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Parents, we would like for you to join in and encourage your child to exercise. Let’s make this a FUN and meaningful experience by playing games, or discussing the events of the day as you all walk. Let’s set a goal to walk 10,000 steps a day!
Plan to walk with your child three or more times a week. You or your child should write a note stating your family mileage and turn it into the child’s classroom teacher on a weekly basis. Any mileage walked or ran by a Keheley student, their family members, or friends that walk with you counts. Pregnant women and senior citizens over 62 receive double credit. Mature citizens over 70 receive triple credit. Pets are excluded. We will recognize the grade level mileage winners on March 31, 2016 at the Straw Walk.
