Our new Media Specialist, Mrs. Lee, is starting some fun new programs for our students.
- The Timber Ridge Book Club will be an afterschool club open to students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade. Interested students will only be able to sign up through the Learning Commons blog at the Book Cub tab. The first 10 students to sign up will receive the book of the month for FREE.
- We’ll have monthly contests for students with great prizes like FREE books! Our first contest starts on Wednesday, February 1st. Get all the details on the blog at the Contests tab.
- Coming Soon! The Makerspace will be a place where students can design, experiment, build and invent with tools and materials for a wide range of activities. The Maker Club will be an afterschool club for students interested in making things. More information will be available on the blog at the Makers tab.
- Coming Soon! Timber Ridge will be starting a Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Team next fall. Students on the team will read 20 Georgia Book Award Nominee books and participate in a county-wide quiz-bowl style competition. The team is open to 4th and 5th grade students only. Mrs. Lee will be hosting an informational meeting in the spring. Additional information and a list of the books we will be reading are available at the HRRB tab on the blog.
